Property line fence - Assessment

BIA Contracting Inc. was hired to review, assess and provide tender drawings for the proposed fencing replacement and fencing extension project.

Scope of work:

·         Provide thorough review and assessment of the existing property fence conditions.

·         Deliver detailed drawing package, including quantities of all existing & proposed fencing, Plan Views and Typical Fence & Gate Details

·         Offer recommendations on materials, hardware and installation requirements

Property line fence - Construction

BIA Contracting Inc. was awarded the project by demonstrating expertise, timeliness and cost efficiency.

Scope of work:

·         Supply of all labour, equipment and resources to safely remove and replace all existing fencing for 87 townhouse units at Springfield Cooperative Homes

·         BIA Contracting Inc. installed over 4700 Linear Feet of new fencing


Child Ventures Early Learning Academy, Oakville ON

Structural modifications - Mezzanine

BIA Contracting Inc. was hired to complete all structural modifications and repairs to the building, including converting the existing closed mezzanine, supported by 2”x6” stud walls, to an open concept structural steel frame.


Scope of work:

·         Provide temporary shoring to support the existing mezzanine structure

·         Remove load bearing walls previously supporting the mezzanine level

·         Cut sections of concrete from slab-on-grade in order to excavate for new concrete footings

·         Arrange testing of soil condition and provide geotechnical report confirming adequate soil bearing capacity

·         Fabricate and install new open concept structural steel frame complete with new concrete footings

·         Installation of headers and lintels for new window openings and new door openings

Office Renovation

BIA Contracting Inc. was awarded the opportunity to renovate 10,000 SQFT of first-class office space at the Excelsior Life Building, located at 36 Toronto St. Tasked with creating an office workplace, capable of meeting the needs of our fast-paced innovation driven client, a complete overhaul was essential for this project.

 Scope of work:

·         Create a clean slate by removing partitions, floor finishes and taking mechanical, electrical and plumbing services back to the base building

·         Reconfigure and verify Life Safety Systems, including fire alarm system, emergency lighting and sprinkler system

·         Construct desired office layout with acoustic wall partitions and a baffled ceiling

·         All custom millwork, imported floor coverings, new wall base, bright coloured paints, custom finished solid wood doors and solid frames, new appliances, smart TV’s and tech hardware, and conspicuous glazing featuring a set of dual sliding, synchro glass boardroom doors and bulky side lights
